Accounting and payroll in Serbia for foreign-owned companies
We arrange the bookkeeping, tax returns and payroll of your Serbian company with licensed accounting firms. We also arrange the registration and deregistration of your employees, and we send a monthly report to your management abroad. Accounting and payroll are part of our Run tier.

What we handle
The accounting firms we work with are entered in the Register of Accounting Service Providers kept by APR, the Serbian Business Registers Agency.
- Bookkeeping. A licensed accounting firm keeps the statutory books of your company and closes each month.
- Tax returns. A licensed accounting firm files your VAT returns and the other recurring tax returns of your company.
- SEF e-invoicing. The accounting firm handles your e-invoices in SEF, the state e-invoicing system, where your company is in the VAT system. Our guide to SEF e-invoicing explains the system.
- Payroll. The accounting firm calculates the salaries, prepares the payslips and files the payroll tax return every month.
- Registration and deregistration of employees. The accounting firm registers each new employee with CROSO, the Central Register of Compulsory Social Insurance. It deregisters each employee who leaves.
- Personnel records. We keep the personnel records and prepare the employment documents.
- Sick leave. The accounting firm processes the sick leave of your employees in the payroll. Our guide to eBolovanje, the electronic sick leave system, explains the part of the employer.
- Annual financial statement. The accounting firm prepares the regular annual financial statement and files it with APR.
- Documents. We track your incoming and outgoing documents, and we tell you when a document is missing.

Questions and answers
Can you also arrange accounting?
Yes. We arrange your bookkeeping, tax returns and payroll with licensed accounting firms entered in the Register of Accounting Service Providers. You can take accounting in the Run tier or as a single service.
How much do accounting and payroll cost?
The price depends on the number of documents and employees, the VAT status, the activity and any foreign currency business. You get the scope and the price in a written offer before we start. Contact us for an offer. See the tiers for what Run includes.
Is the annual financial statement included?
Yes. A licensed accounting firm we work with prepares the regular annual financial statement as part of the accounting, and files it with APR.
What happens when we hire a foreign employee?
A licensed accounting firm we work with registers the employment after the single permit, the combined work and residence permit, is approved. Then it adds the employee to the payroll. We handle the permit itself in our work and residence permits service.
In which language do we get the reports?
We write the monthly report in English. We write our messages to your management in English or Serbian.
